Barry Smith Construction has been serving home owners in the greater Eureka area since 1993. In that time we have established a reputation for quality work and satisfied customers.
Of course our customers appreciate our expertise, attention to detail, and use of quality products and materials, but what we hear over and over again is how much our customers appreciate our friendly installers, and the fact that we will call them back. We like to think of this as common courtesy.
Our installers remain up to date on developing installation techniques in the industry. We are one of the only companies operating in northern california to employ installers certified by InstallationMasters™ to know and employ the best installation practices for all of our door and window projects.

Barry Smith Construction is committed to helping our community grow. We are active members of the Eureka Chamber of Commerce, Humboldt Bay Kiwanis Club, and the Humboldt Builder's Exchange. We are also happy to sponsor activities for the young people of our community including the Eureka Little League, Eureka High School Music Department and the Eureka High School Athletics Department.
Each year we are proud to contribute to the Bikes By The Bay annual show and shine event, an organization that has helped to raise money for causes that are important to our community.
2008 marks our second year as the corporate sponsor for the Stars of Tomorrow youth talent contest, and we are happy to congratulate this years winners.

Barry Smith, Owner
Barry Smith has been doing construction in this county for most of his life. A Humboldt Native, Barry is active in a number of local organizations including the Eureka Chamber of Commerce, Humboldt Bay Kiwanis, and Bikes by the Bay. As the owner of the company, Barry has set the bar for quality work and customer service.
Zev Trubowitch, Sales, Marketing, and Administration
Zev is a graduate of Humboldt State University with a masters degree in Business Administration. A long term resident of the Eureka area, he coordinates the marketing efforts for the company while making certain that our customers are receiving the attention that they deserve.
Lydia Jorgensen, Estimating and Project Management
From the very first meeting, Lydia works with our customers to find out what they want in their project and helping them to determine the best way to do it within their budget. She is in regular contact with them through the end of their project, making sure that they had the home remodeling experience they wanted.
Skip McRae, Lead Carpenter
Skip is a conscientious and skilled craftsman that has been part of the company since 2006. Skip is an InstallationMasters™ certified installer, and has taken the time to improve his skills and stay ahead of the curve by learning and using the best practices in his trade, and it shows in the work he does.
Don Wise, Carpenter
Don provides the support skills in the field that allow us to serve our customers so well. He has been with Barry Smith Construction for more than a year, and is a valuable contributor to every project he has worked on.
Jim Bakewell, Drywall Finishing
Jim has been the go to guy for drywall repairs and patches for Barry Smith Construction for many years. Jim is an expert at producing the finished look that our customers want for their walls and ceiling.
Ray Gibson, Carpenter
Ray joined Barry Smith Construction last summer. Whether he is working on his own or as part of a crew, Ray is a valuable member of our team
Adam Wanden, Carpenter's Helper
Adam is the newest member of the Barry Smith Construction team. He has made a big difference in the projects he has been involved in. Being a carpenter's helper may not be the most glamorous role, but the leads he has worked with know the value of his contribution
